Did you know that nearly half of all women don’t know what the symptoms or risk factors for heart disease are? Women need to be aware that the signs and symptoms of heart trouble present themselves differently than in men. Women do not always have the classic, intense chest pain. Instead, they may have shoulder pain, experience flu-like symptoms or jaw pain. Also, age is really a small factor – heart disease can strike women of all ages.
Join us for on Feb. 15 for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women event! Guests will not only enjoy a heart-healthy lunch, but you will also have the chance to take part in a variety of health screenings to determine your risk for heart disease – the No. 1 killer of women.
